On the occasion of my participation in the group exhibition “At Home - for a ship without a harbor, no winds are the right ones” – Exhibition in the Cultural Centre Gut Wienebüttel:
“At first, there are the paintings of Sandra Hilleckes. The Lüneburg resident explores how people and space interrelate. Central are paintings whose backgrounds seemingly amount to towering spotlight walls. In front of their sunset yellow, a wide space opens up – stage, ice, bottom of the sea? On it, people measure out their range, their leeway. A sense of skepticism, exploration and expectation exudes from the figures that are often reduced to their mere existence. Hilleckes leaves a wide scope of interpretation just the same way.”
